Troubles on my Literary Analysis

      On my literary analysis, I have a lot of problems I'm trying to correct on my draft. I'm having trouble staying on the topic about my thesis. I continue to struggle on explaining the quotes and looking closely into the effect of the situation. I also have a problem of shorting my quotes because I want to use the whole quote to explain my supporting point. I am also having a problem of explaining the topic, but the people who read the book already know the information. I continue to explain the story.
      The resources I used to help me get away from these problems was the Writing Center, my book, and a few websites on how to write an essay with a thesis. The Writing Center was very helpful because my writing fellow explained to me why some of my sentences weren't need and how to correct the sentence into the right form. My book was useful because as I looked at the quotes, I started to look for the characters' feelings and voice. The websites helped because it gave me an easier way to explain my information in my draft. I would look up different websites to help you with your problems and go to the Writing Center for further help.
