Playoff Game in New Iberia

The Episcopal football team traveled to New Iberia to face the Catholic School of New Iberia. Everyone was serious about the game and ready to advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs vs. the winner against Dunham and Newman. At 6:30, we warmed up on a cold November night. The wide receivers was struggling with the routes and the running backs were hyped about this playoff game. The seniors was ready to play hard for their teammates and their possible last game as a Knight. Our defense stops the Panthers in the  first possession of the game. When it was 3rd down for our offense, Kade Edenfield, our quarterback, threw a pass to Caden Dickinson for a huge touchdown in the first quarter. But sadly, that was the only touchdown we get in the first half. The score was 17-7 at halftime.
We started to slack off the rest of the game. The defense couldn't stop New Iberia's quarterback #2 because he ran all over the football field. He scored two touchdowns and it was 31-7 in the 4th quarter. Kade threw a pass to Caden that was tipped to Cole Carmouche  for a incredible touchdown. But that wasn't enough to defeat the Panthers. We lost 31-14. The team was crying for the seniors because that was the last time we would ever play with each other ever again. The seniors told the under class-men we are the class that needs to step up. But everyone was happy after the game because we got pizza and made jokes on the bus.

  1. I like your blog Kolin. It was a very eventful night. I can remember how funny the bus ride back home was, but I felt bad for being in good spirits, because we lost the playoff game. I also remember being very tired on the bus ride home.
